Calling all Schloars

The John W. Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship at Miami University is accepting applications from scholars at all levels who are interested in visiting Miami University for the purposes of collaborating on research projects with current faculty. Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio and is home to one of the top-ranked entrepreneurship programs in the world. Visiting scholars will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with faculty.

Visiting scholars who are interested in this program should identify areas of mutual research interest with current entrepreneurship faculty and submit a research proposal via email. Applicants are encouraged to be as specific as possible when describing the proposed research collaboration. The goal of this short-term visiting program is to initiate and collaborate on research projects that have the potential to be published in high-impact management and entrepreneurship journals. The duration of the visiting opportunity is flexible and can range from 1 week to 4 months, depending on the nature of the project.

Meet Andrea Sottini

Andrea Sottini is a postdoctoral fellow at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Italy, Milan) in Management and Innovation. My thesis was about entrepreneurial mechanisms to navigate and negotiate institutional constraints. His research interests are on social entrepreneurship and the intersection of faith and entrepreneurship. Related to these topics, he has conducted research on poverty alleviation in sub-Saharan African countries. He has published his research in the International Small Business Journal
